#Runstreak – 6 Months!

#Runstreak – 6 Months!

Jun 03

It has officially been 6 months since I started my runstreak, which began back on December 3nd, 2014!  I’ve logged 462.5 miles over six months (putting me on pace to finally crack 1000 miles in a year based on increasing volume), and I’m feeling absolutely great!  My pace has steadily increased, my foot feels 100%, and I’ve rediscovered the love for running that has evaded me...

Had you told me 2 years ago that I would be writing about running 100 days in a row, I would have called you nuts.  Crazy.  Batshit Crazy.  Run 100 days in a row?  Me?  The guy with the jacked up foot, knees, and back?  The guy who lost the love for the run years ago and has been searching for it ever since?  The guy who is bike obsessed, swim happy, and completely run...

I’m about a month removed from wearing my boot, and the situation with my right foot injury is a bit of a mixed bag at the moment.  On one hand, the stress fractures seem to have healed.  I’m due for a follow-up appointment to confirm this, but I’m pretty in tune with the aches and pains of this ongoing saga and I think its safe to say that my bones are in good shape. However,...

On The Outside Looking In and Dreams of Ultrarunning

Mar 24

Its only my first weekend on crutches, and I’m already jumping out of my skin.  I’m not going to lie, this weekend has been tough.  Not only has it been tough because I’m hopping around on two sticks that are chafing the crap out of my armpits and making everything a complete pain in the ass, but its been tough because so many of my former TNT Ironteam teammates are out there...
